Swallow Dress in Cirrus Gauze
As if she is floating, the Swallow skims above the ground with boundless grace. Drapey and flowy, with a deep (yet still bra-friendly) V-back, the Swallow is effortlessly elegant and easy to wear. This dress is cut on the grain in the front and cut on the bias in the back, which makes the back a bit more drapey than the front (and makes this definitely the kind of dress you don't cover up with a jacket or sweater unless you must!). Floaty raglan sleeves add visual interest and some arm coverage, while hidden pockets provide a dose of functionality. Deftly nimble and forever free, the Swallow is most at home in the air.

This dress is made of khadi (hand-twisted) cotton, crafted in India by skilled artisans on a handloom. It is by far the most airy and delicate fabric I've ever worked with, and its name, Cirrus Gauze, evokes its supersoft, cloud-like handfeel. The fabric has a subtle stripe pattern woven into it that isn't noticeable from far away but is quite prominent up close. By itself, the fabric is entirely sheer, but for this design I both faced and lined the fabric with voile to create an opaque (but no less cloudy-soft) dress.
The dress is faced and lined with GOTS-certified organic cotton voile milled in India. Lightweight and airy, this voile is one of the softest fabrics we've used to date and is the perfect complement to our Cirrus Gauze fabric.
In addition to the fabric, this dress uses organic cotton thread, organic cotton hanger straps, and organic cotton garment labels.

The Swallow is fitted only in the bust, so use your bust measurement when determining your size. If you're in between sizes, I recommend sizing up — the dress will be more comfortable and flowy that way.
Alyssa is wearing a size 4 and is 5'8" with a 35" bust, 27" waist, and 37" hip.
