SOLD OUT — We sold through our original run of Buttercup Gauze fabric only to find that our
supplier is completely out of stock as well! If this news bums you out as much as it does us,
you'll be happy to know that we plan on adding a lot more double gauze (perhaps even in a similar
sunny yellow color) to the site this summer. Sign up for our email newsletter at the bottom of the
page to be the first to know about it!
A square scarf with endless possibilities: wear it around your neck, on your head, tied to a bag — anything goes. I wasn't originally intending on making scarves for the collection, but after spending all this summer and fall working with our FW16 fabrics, I couldn't stop thinking how great of scarves they would make. I love using these scarves to pattern mix with other fabrics in the collection — our hand-dyed Almost Black silk matches just about everything, but goes especially well with our Black Grid fabric.

This scarf is made of 100% silk crepe de Chine from China. It is a heavier weight of silk (16.5mm) that has been stone washed to give it a perfectly matte look. When I first laid eyes and hands on this silk, I knew it was the one — never before had I seen and felt something so amazingly luxe with perfect drape.
I hand-dyed this silk using acid dyes; I call it Almost Black because if you wear it with something other than black, it'll look perfectly black, but if you pair it with a true black you'll see it look a bit more blue-grey. As with all hand-dyed fabrics, each batch I dye turns out slightly differently (that's part of the fun of it!), so if you are super concerned about the color, please contact us before placing an order.
In addition to the fabric, this scarf uses 100% organic cotton thread and organic cotton labels.
