The 5 Natural Beauty Products I Can't Live Without

by Emily DeLong | 21 November 16

I made the switch over to natural beauty products in 2014, and during that transition, I ordered so many samples and mini-sizes of so many different products. There's something so exciting about the prospect of a new product, even if you already have a great one; there's always a nagging feeling of "but this one could be even BETTER!" in the back of my head (and, I am guessing, in the back of some of your heads too).

That said, there are a few natural beauty products I have discovered and not changed since I discovered them — quite a feat in the world of cosmetics. Scroll down to see five products from five awesome natural beauty brands that I cannot live without.

1. Captain Blankenship Lime & Vetiver Cream Deodorant

This deodorant is everything to me. It smells fresh and citrusy and earthy all at the same time, it has a smooth creamy texture, and it works. Deodorant is such a personal thing, and something that's definitely not easy to give broad recommendations on (everyone's body chemistry is different!), but if you haven't found your deodorant yet, definitely give this one a try.

2. Meow Meow Tweet Vegan Lip Balm in Vanilla Clove

So, admittedly, I still do switch around what lip balms I use depending on the season and my mood, but this one wins the trophy for being one of my favorite lip balms ever. Smooth, not greasy application? Check. Hydration that lasts for a long time? Check. Great flavor? Check — vanilla and clove is the best combo EVER. On top of all that, it's also vegan. Lip balm heaven.

3. Alima Pure Satin Matte Foundation

I am a mineral foundation girl living in a liquid foundation world, a fact that made it hard to find a natural substitute for what I used to use. Once I discovered Alima Pure, however, I was hooked forever. Their foundation is lightweight and really blends in with your natural skintone, AND it comes in 45 different shades, so there is a match for almost everyone (I'm a Beige 2).

4. Ilia Mascara in Shadow of a Doubt

I have a pale complexion and virtually translucent eyelashes, and I've always found black mascara to be a bit much on me. I honestly didn't wear mascara at all because I couldn't find what I wanted until I found Ilia. They make a shade of brown mascara (Shadow of a Doubt) that is so perfect, I haven't been tempted to try anything else. I suppose I'm just a one-mascara kind of girl.

5. S.W. Basics Makeup Remover

Once I fell in love with Ilia mascara, I had to find something to take it off at night, and this stuff is it. S.W. Basic's makeup remover is extremely gentle (only three ingredients!) and extremely effective. Every night, I dip a cue tip into the bottle and swipe along my eyelashes, and my mascara comes off effortlessly.SaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSave
