I wish I could say that you could dress yourself in Margu head to toe, but unless you're going barefoot, that's unfortunately not the case. Until I learn how to make shoes (anyone out there willing to give me lessons?), you're going to have to rely on other brands and makers to outfit you in the footwear department.
Fortunately, there are so many amazing indie, handmade, sustainable, ethical, etc., shoe brands out there making some seriously great sandals. Below are 10 sandal styles I would buy in a heartbeat to complement our SS17 collection.
I love the geometric design and dreamy denim color of these slides! I would totally pair these with the Soleil Skirt in Navy Check — I think the blues in each piece would complement each other really well.
With the main color of our SS17 collection being yellow, I of course HAD to pick a pair of yellow shoes for this list. These clogs by San Francisco-based Bryr are literally everything I want out of a summer sandal. I'd pair them with every single piece from our SS17 collection!
I hadn't heard about Cousin Sandals until recently, and I'm totally in love with their vintage-inspired, super-wearable sandals. I could totally see myself wearing these clay-colored sandals with the Sawyer Pants in Cream Stripe for a casual, playful look.
Made by hand in Ethiopia, Brother Vellies shoes are a great mix of trendy and timeless. I think these whisky-colored block-heel sandals would match just about anything you paired them with, but if I had to pick, I'd pair them with the Meadow Dress in Cream Stripe for a simple, timeless look.
Colico always incorporates the most interesting details in their shoes, and this particular sandal is one of my all-time favorites of theirs. Simultaneously standing out and yet neutral, I'd pair these sandals with our ever-so-simple Thea Dress in Blueberry Linen to make the patchwork leather really pop.
This pair of sandals has been on my personal wishlist for more than a year now. I can see myself wearing these huarache sandals on long summer days spent walking and exploring in the sun. I'd pair them with the Lily Dress in Sage Silk for an outfit that's as comfortable as it is cute.
I'm not too much of a mule person (I find them hard to walk in!), but these gorgeous mossy-green mules have totally been calling my name. I think the green color would pair excellently with our Buttercup Gauze fabric, and the slight heel would complement our midi-length Soleil Skirt quite well.
The loud plaid print makes these sandals not the most versatile in the world, but they're just so cool-looking that I think they're worth it! I'd pair them with our Picnic Dress in Cream Stripe for a fun, vintage-inspired look.
So these aren't technically sandals, but I love them so much that I had to include them. (They're super summery, so that counts for something, right?) These loafers definitely qualify as wear-with-anything shoes, but I'd pair them with our Sawyer Pants in Blueberry Linen for a laid-back, beachy look.
